Responsibilities:

COMPOSITE TECHNICIAN - FULL TIME (EAST BOOTHBAY OR DAMARISCOTTA)
POSITION SUMMARY: All phases of composite boat construction
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

Female/male mold assembly to include filling and fairing joint seams and applying mold release wax

Kit fabrication involving cutting fabric to desired sizes, direction

Material lay-up and installation of peel ply, fabrics, flow media, vacuum and feeder lines

Mixing of resin materials by weight/volume
-
Infusion monitoring for temperature, vacuum infusion and time of infusion
-
Modular installation of infused pieces for bulkheads, floor systems, decks and pilothouse
-
Finishing, trimming and fitting of composite parts
-
Some wet lay-up and wet preg is required for secondary bonding and tabbing
-
Grinding and sanding for secondary bonding

Works ‘hands on’ on multiple projects
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Position Summary
The Marine Finisher is responsible for surface preparation and application of high-quality marine finishes on vessels and related components. This includes fairing, sanding, spraying, varnishing, painting, and finishing both interior and exterior components to Hodgdon standards.
Responsibilities

Perform surface preparation including fairing, sanding, masking, and finish preparation

Apply marine coatings including primers, epoxy systems, linear polyurethanes, varnishes, and specialty finishes

Spray and finish hulls, decks, interior joiner work, and custom components
-
Prepare and finish interior and exterior furniture and trim

Operate spray equipment including conventional and HVLP systems

Read and follow paint mixing formulas and finish specifications

Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas

Support and coordinate with other members of the finish team to meet production schedules
Qualifications

3–5 years of marine finishing experience preferred

Experience with Awlgrip or similar high-end marine coating systems strongly preferred

STAFF ACCOUNTANT - FULL TIME (SOUTHPORT)
Hodgdon Yacht Services is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to manage the flow of financial data and support the accounting operations of our marine industry business. This role is responsible for supporting the monthly accounting cycle, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting. The Staff Accountant will work closely with management to ensure accurate, timely financial information and contribute to the smooth operation of the accounting department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the flow of financial data through the chart of accounts and manage key components of the monthly accounting cycle and accounting department workflow.

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, accounts receivable, and fixed assets on a regular basis.

Perform month-end balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Assist with production and overhead expense analysis and review.

Process and manage accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, and timely payment.

Prepare invoices, checks, ACH payments, and related payment processing.

Administer employee benefits accounting and perform bank reconciliations.

Prepare financial analysis and reports as requested by management.
-
Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Utilize accounting software (Sage, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office applications to manage financial records.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
