Launched: 2006 Length: 98' Designer: Fontaine Design Group Hodgdon Yachts, Inc. of East Boothbay launched the company's 406th vessel on July 29, 2006. Construction of the 98 foot cold molded yacht designed by the Fontaine Design Group began in July of 2004. This vessel was the largest sailing yacht under construction in the United States and was built to American Bureau of Shipping "A1 Yachting Service AMS" standards. This collaborative effort of a talented designer and experienced builder created a classically inspired, yet modern sailing yacht. Her clean sheer line and graceful overhangs are topped off by a powerful ketch rig. The carbon fiber masts and stowaway booms reduce weight aloft and provide optimum sail handling capabilities. The design includes a large pilothouse dining area with exceptional sight lines, and a fully enclosed navigation/operating station. Below decks her three staterooms with ensuite heads, and luxurious salon will be finished in a traditional raised panel style in cherry wood. At the heart of the vessel are the propulsion, hydraulic, electrical, water and ventilation systems engineered by Hodgdon's design and engineering department to the highest standards for reliability, durability and maintainability. The interior joinery work is an elegant traditional stile and rail cherry panel with applied moulding. The furniture panels are a flame (crotch) veneer and bulkhead panels are flat-sawn cherry. The sole is walnut, finished in high gloss varnish; the sole in the galley and passageway to the crew's quarters is cork with walnut borders. The overhead and selected upper panels are painted in off-white.
