Hodgdon Yachts to exhibit at prestigious international boat shows

August, 2006
East Boothbay, Maine Ñ Hodgdon Yachts of East Boothbay, ME, will take its place among the world's elite yachtbuilders at international boat shows this fall in Monaco and Fort Lauderdale, FL.

First on Hodgdon's calendar is the Monaco Yacht Show, to be held in Monte Carlo, September 21Ð24. The show is the only one in the world devoted solely to superyachts.

In its 15-year history, the Monaco Yacht Show has become a symbol of luxury, wealth and exclusivity. For Hodgdon, it will be an opportunity to see and be seen Ñ and to showcase its high-end yachts and pioneering construction techniques before thousands of wealthy potential buyers. The company's 124-foot sloop Antonisa was named Best Sailing Yacht in its class at Monaco in 1999.

Fellow exhibitors will include other top yachtbuilders, as well as brokers, naval architects, interior designers, equipment manufacturers, service providers and other yachting-related businesses. Ninety-three sail and motor yachts from 65 to 263 feet in length Ñ roughly a third of them recently launched Ñ will also be on display.

Hodgdon will again be front and center October 27Ð31 when the yachting world's attention turns to Fort Lauderdale. The 46th edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show promises to be the world's largest. Offered for sale will be more than $1.6 billion worth of boats, yachts, superyachts and equipment representing all major marine manufacturers.

Hodgdon Yachts ranks among the world's premier builders of large luxury sailing yachts. The 189-year-old company is noted worldwide for classic vessels that combine the integrity and beauty of traditional craft with the advantages of state-of-the-art materials and construction.
